We recently replaced six DC12 engines with the successor DC13 models and are highly satisfied with the new engines. Their electrical efficiency, biogas consumption and pilot fuel consumption all fully meet our expectations. Based on this positive experience, Corntec has decided to replace all its DC12 engines with successor DC13 models.

After a major conversion, the new 265 gas engine (DC13) was placed into service on Sept. 10, 2019. We were surprised by the engine’s excellent heat extraction at only 180 kW. We plan to run the DC13 at this power level until further notice. Today, after only 3 weeks and our highly positive experience with the engine (low noise, etc.), the project is paying for itself with its exceptional heat output, pilot fuel savings and a flexibility premium for more than 90 kW.
